Ships today can remain in service for up to 25 years and have to assert themselves in the market accordingly on a long-term basis.

The foundation for a technically and economically successful investment is already laid in the project planning and construction of the vessel.

Hanseatic Lloyd does not simply build on the basis of the existing ship designs of leading manufacturers. Rather, promising designs are further developed by Hanseatic Lloyd. The ship is optimized for the market.

Together with external specialists the Fleet Management staff inputs its many years of experience in new ship projects right from the beginning. They provide technical consulting services and are intensively involved in documentation and building specifications. The latest technical developments as well as their own know-how gained from daily operation of the fleet in service are taken into account in the final ship design.

During the construction phase the Project- Management is responsible for looking after the building of new vessels and supervision of construction work up to successful delivery of the ships, and finally also provides for the complete initial equipment on board.
