Partnership projects

Since 2005 the Hanseatic Lloyd Reederei offers its know-how as a service provider via the capital market to shipping company partners. In this way we look after the ship’s shares market and are responsible for placing the equity capital.

After the successful placement of a product/chemical tanker with a deadweight tonnage of 16,456 tdw in the year 2005, the placing of two Panmax tankers with a deadweight tonnage of 73,400 tdw followed in the years 2006 and 2007. The shipping company partner W-O, as the managing owner, has taken over the operation of the vessels for these three partnership projects.

Since W-O Shipping GmbH & Co. KG, Haren (Ems)
is to discontinue business operations, the managing owner contract was dissolved with effect from 1st June 2010 and the managing owner activities for these three partnership projects have been transferred to Shipcare Management GmbH & Co. KG and Hanseatic Lloyd Schiffahrt GmbH & Co. KG. The name of the one-ship company and the corporate general partner was changed, the prefix “W-O” being replaced by “HLL”.

Shipcare is continuing the technical shipping company
operation of the ship including Operating and
Crewing. Hanseatic Lloyd has taken over the whole commercial ship operation activities, i.e. payments,
accounting, controlling, reporting, investor support, financing, insurances and chartering out.
